Baabul

I have heard and read so many reviews about this movie but somehow I actually liked this one. The concept of widow remarraige.. the usual chaddi-buddi girl and guy with one head over heels in love with the other and the other blissfully unaware, the love story and happy life in the first marraige, the turbulance after the guy's death, the efforts of individuals in their very own way to cope up with the problem, well not overtly dramatic but a very socially relevant social concept and not being a great fan of Amitabh's, me finding his role and potrayal perfect means something..

Ompuri, AB, Rani, Hema, every one's performance was good... for once after a looong looong time, I could actually bear Salman's extra sugary sweet performance!!!! that is also something..

Actually, the social stigma surrounding a widow is what I have been seeing since childhood and the courage of the filmmakers to deal with such a socially relevant concept has actually touched some chords in my heart and so I can actually say I really admired this movie.

All in all, contrary to the popular view, I actually enjoyed watching this movie... it is worth watching once.. not a great out of the world concept but something good to watch and think over.

Khosla ka Ghosla

Khosla Ka Ghosla... This is one real good film that I have watched in the recent past, Hindi movie, I mean. Of late, I have kind of become allergic to Hindi movies, hardly anything good to watch but this one was a refreshing change.

It is very close to reality and liked the way each of them potrayed the role, no biig names to carry the movie on their shoulders. Anupam Kher, Navin Nischol, Boman Irani, Tara Sharma, Kiran Juneja, the other star cast, everyone was good and not a bit of over-action that you tend to watch in a few movies.

I really really enjoyed a Hindi movie after a long time.

Nishabd

Nishabd... meaning silence is yet another Ramgopal Verma flick. I liked the concept the movie, the reality aspect of it.. and when the caption says, some love stories are never meant to be understood.. it is very true Ramu.. I surely dont understand quite a few of your movies.. but somehow you managed to catch my attention right through the end for this movie :).

It is a good movie with all the actors playing their roles wonderfully... can watch this one and well, I cant say enjoy but ponder on some things..

Neal N' Nikki

Yukkk!!! Well, the rich brat concept is okay but the storyline, the casting, everything is a biiiiiiiiggggg Yukkkkk... I mean how could Tanisha do this itsy, bitsy microscopic clothing and rat-chewed-my-hair hairdo.... Coming from the family of great actors like] Nutan, Tanuja, and Kajol, it was the worst possible movie the kid could have signed and Uday!!!! dont even ask me he looks soooooooo plastic...

Well, accepted yeh sab actually English movies mein hota hai.. arey bhaaiiiii... give me a break, India or at least myself am not ready for such stuff from desi movies... if you are watching for a wholesome entertainment, then better forget this one was ever made much less seen by me.

Dhoom - II

Dhoom - 2 Hmmm... Finally, I happened to see this much-touted movie.. well, call it boredom or whatever, these days I seem to watch any damn movie that catches my attention. I am not really sure why but I have been avoiding watching this movie but finally when I did I could not resist watching it completely..

Uday Chopra better stick to such comic sidekick roles rather than the dumb Neal N' Nikki types..

All in all, had some timepass :)

Fire

Hmm.. I finally happened to watch this movie and it was a decent one. I felt that the concept of lesbians was kind of a taboo thing in the Indian society and someone to come up with that idea on the celluloid with such subtlity is really refreshing.. hmm, before you jump to conclusions as to whether or not I am a supporter of these things, let me clarify myself, I do understand that the preferences are unusual and less taken but still, a person's sexual preferences will never come in the way I interact with the person.

It is not a MUST watch movie but definitely not something which should be avoided...
